  1. Day 1: Inca Jungle Trek: Cuzco – Monkey House (Meals:L, D)

    We will pick you up at 8:00 am from hotel. Then we head towards the sacred valley of the Incas, along the way you will get a chance to see picturesque villages and beautiful landscapes, arriving at Ollantaytambo at about 09:00 a.m. Here you will have a chance to buy some things you might have forgotten to buy. At 09:30 am the bus heads towards “Abra Malaga” (4350 m.a.s.l.) to the point of departure with the bikes, we will descend for 40 km, passing through small villages, rivers and streams, reaching the town Huamanmarca (1250 m.a.s.l.) around 1:00pm. Approximately. While descending it's possible to see the vast changes in flora and fauna and the effect of oxygen level and altitude. At the end of 40 km driving the bicycle, our transport will take us for about 30 minutes to the town of Santa Maria where we expect a delicious lunch with local potage. After a short break where the group will divide into 2: the ones who booked the rafting and the ones who didn’t. The ones who didn’t booked optional activity “rafting” will continue hiking for one hour and half toward our eco lodge (Monkey House). Monkey house is a unique chance to enjoy the pure jungle in its best way, the guest family who receives you there still does things in the according to tradition, in a way you can say it´s travelling back in time for 200 years. Don’t worry though, there are rooms with bunk beds and normal mattresses for you to rest your night on, accompanied by an orchestra of jungle sounds.
  2. Day 2: Inca Jungle Trek: Inca trail – Santa Teresa (Meals:B, L, D)

    At around 7:00 a.m, it’s going to be time to wake up, after we’ll have delicious typical breakfast and nice cup of home grown and made coffee in the middle of nature. At around 8:20 a.m. We’ll start walking along the banks of the river and start climbing for 20 min. toward an original Inca path. In this area a lot of Inca trails can be found, but the one we will walk is the only one who still maintains in good a condition. On our way we will see wild fruits, like: pineapple, passion fruit, avocado and coca leaf plantation . The area is surrounded by many types of wild birds and orchids; this ecosystem belongs to the high forest and is one of the richest in terms of biodiversity of the Inca jungle trail. The group will walk down the mountain for approx. 2.30 hrs. Until arriving at the village of Quellomayo, to have lunch and regain some of your energy. After the meal you will have free time to relax in a hammock and give your legs some rest. After a break we continue walking for 3 hrs. Crossing farms, waterfalls and rivers (one river you will have to cross with a cable car). At around 4 pm the group arrives at hot springs “Cocalmayo” Santa Teresa. Cocalmayo offers several relaxing crystal clear hot springs, each with its own temperature. The sound of the river and the stars at night time make it a perfect scenery. After the hot springs the group will continue to walk for about 40 min. (or take a bus of you’d prefer) until reaching the town of Santa Teresa where you will check in to a nice comfortable lodge.
  3. Day 3: Inca Jungle Trek: Santa Teresa – Town of Aguas Calientes (Meals:B,L,D)

    Around 7:00 a.m, after our breakfast we will get ready to continue exploring the roads that were followed by the first expedition that discovered Machu Picchu and other important archaeological complex. The next journey will start in Santa Teresa. Those who reserved in advance will make the zip line (and later this group will be taken by bus to the area known as the hydroelectric), the rest of the group will continue the trek of 13 km. approx. through the valley until reaching the hydroelectric too, where the entire group will get together again. Here we will enjoy of a great lunch. And after a break we will continue walking along this great Inca jungle tour for 10 km. Enjoying beautiful waterfalls, going through Coca plants and coffee farms along the railway until arriving at the town of Aguas Calientes around 4 pm. Here the group will spend the night in a hostel. At night we all will get together in a local restaurant to enjoy a great dinner and have a briefing about our next excursion to Machu Picchu.
  4. Day 4: Explore Machu Picchu – Cuzco (B)

    This morning we will wake ups at around 4:30am, then we will hike approximately 1 hour and a half, upon arrive in Machu Picchu your guided will intruduce and starts the walking tour for about 2-hours during this time you are going to visit the sacred place and learn the history. Then some couple hours by your own, for last minutes pictures. Then we head back to Aguas Calientes for lunch we recommend Indio Feliz restaurant (own cost).  At 6:20pm you will catch the Perurail train to Ollantaytambo station and 2-hours more by bus to Cusco ends 10:30pm. Note: Machu Picchu USA  recommend to book your trip month in advance to purchase earlier train, morning entrance to Machu Picchu and comfortable  hotel in Aguas Calientes.
