Machu Picchu by Train 2 Days 1 Night
Machu Picchu is the greatest Inca civilization in South America! We will start our journey in Cusco and drive you along the Sacred Valley passing by Chinchero, Urubamba and arriving in Ollantaytambo where the train station is located. From here we will take the Vistadome train to Aguas Calientes and the Machu Picchu Inca citadel. Swim in the hot springs and overnight at 4 star hotel in Aguas Calientes town before you visit the mysterious Machu Picchu.

Day 1: Cusco – Ollantaytambo – Aguas Calientes town
We will pick you up from your hotel in Cusco at around 9:00 a.m. to head to the Ollantaytambo train station, along the Journey we will stop in several points such as Chinchero Quechua town, here you will learn about handicraft spinning techniques, the local people will explain step by step about all process (Good point to purchase souvenirs). In addition, you can taste the Inca drink prepared by dry corn. Finally at 1:27 pm, you will catch the Vistadome train with large window. We will have a 1 and half hour train ride to Aguas Calientes town. The train will pass by lush fields and colorful villages in the foothills of the Andes, with wonderful views of the mountains and the beautiful Urubamba River which runs through the Sacred Valley. We will arrive in Aguas Calientes at about 2:55 p.m. and we will take you to your hotel. Day 2: Aguas Calientes town – Machu Picchu – Cusco
Today you will visit the famous Sacred Citadel of the Incas Machu Picchu, the crystal city of the Inca civilization. You will determine, with your tour guide, the best time to start your day. Most people prefer to rise at 4 a.m. walk to the bus station to take one of the first buses up to Machu Picchu. It can be enjoyable to arrive at the ruins as soon as they open, at 6 a.m,7 a.m. To catch the magical mists on the ruins as the sunrises. After a 30 minute bus ride to Machu Picchu, your tour guide will take you to the best views before the day trippers arrive. Then, we will start the two hour guided, walking tour, exploring all of the famous places of this impressive citadel. The Temple of the Sun, The Royal Tomb, The Intiwatana (sun dial rock), Main Plaza, Temple of the 3 Windows, the Condor Temple and many others. After the tour, you will have time to explore the ruins on your own. At around 1:30 or 3p.m., you will need to take the bus back down to Aguas Calientes to enjoy lunch at one of the many restaurants there, we can suggest Indio Feliz Restaurant downtown. Be sure to arrive at the train station 30 minutes before your departure. Our Vistadome Train schedule is usually at 4:22 or 6:10 p.m to Ollantaytambo, where you will catch our transportation for another two hour drive back to Cusco, you will be finishing around 10pm. We suggest to book you night in Cusco.
Note: Don't forget to take your original passport, without it No Machu Picchu.
