Gateway Cities: Lima, Peru and Cusco, Peru

All Machu Picchu trips begin and end from Cusco, and nearly all flights to Cusco connect through Lima. Multiple airlines operate flights into Lima from many U.S. and European international airports. Some of the primary U.S. departure cities include Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Atlanta, Washington D.C., Minneapolis, Chicago, New Orleans, Salt Lake City, Phoenix, and Los Angeles. The duration of nonstop flights to Lima is 5-9 hours. The duration of flights from Lima to Cusco is 80 minutes. A Machu Picchu USA  representative will meet you at the airport and transport or escort you to our first night’s hotel. When registering, you will provide us a copy of your passport along with your flight information to facilitate.

 

Travel flights to and from Cusco is not included in the cost of our trips. Please plan on arriving in time for the orientation meeting the first day and departing the final day of your trip.

 

Meeting Time & Place

A Machu Picchu USA representative will meet you at the airport and transport you to the first night’s hotel for an orientation. The orientation includes introductions, a briefing on the trip itinerary, a checking of personal gear, safety information, and more.

 

Important Note: Please bring all gear you plan on hiking with to this meeting.

Storage of Personal Items

You can store extra baggage at our originating hotel without extra cost.
